Granite for kitchen worktops or countertops are available in a large variety of colours and a range of sizes. The great virtue of granite is its ability to take almost any punishment and still look as new! POLISHED FINISH: Granite counter tops and work tops are usually suplied with a highly polished finish, though some are available with a rough flame finished face. Flame finish is not really suitable for kitchen surfaces
COLOURS OF GRANITE: The colour range of granite is huge and even within the same type of granite the variation in colour and hue can be wide. Absolute black, blue pearl and golden veniziato are but a few examples. So the rule with all granites is "buy what you see". Ask your granite mason if you can visit his importer/supplier to veiw the slabs before purchase
SAWN TO SIZE GRANITE:If you are buying granite tiles to match cut to size panels, for instance in a kitchen worktops or shower room, it would be best to buy both tiles and panels from the same source.
